All the DDoS trouble that LiveJournal has had recently didn't really make me very keen on trying to post anything. Well, that, and I didn't have much to say anyway

I know I'd regret it if I didn't. Even if last year the whole experience wasn't the best I could hope for, it's the best thing in this corner of fandom and a really great opportunity to write stuff I otherwise wouldn't.
Yay for a good prompt! And there's still two weeks (and then some) to think up more prompts.
I was so convinced until mid-day yesterday that I could not come up with prompts at all. I think I needed to get all depressed, because that suddenly seemed to make all the difference.
Yay! I'm so glad you decided to do the exchange this round and that the prompt bunnies have been kind to you. The prompt creation is what I always have a tough time with. So far, I have a semi-decent prompt and a niggling idea for another. As for the art prompts... that's something else I need to work on as well. Gah! I need to get busy!
BTW, you have me all sorts of intrigued about the SP series. I must see if I can find them at my local library.
Prompts are hard, yes - if I could come up with ideas more easily, I wouldn't need to rely so completely on other people's prompts when writing!
Good luck with your prompts! At least there's still some time.
Hee! Yes - well worth checking, although I gather they haven't quite taken off in the US (and only the first three books have been released there so far), so who knows. But worth finding out!
Of course my library would only have a listing for the first book, and that has been classified as "charged out" meaning someone lost the book and had to pay for it, but it was never replaced. I wonder if I could get it through interlibrary loan? *ponders*
Accounting isn't so bad when you have someone competent teaching it, who is patient with people who don't get some of the trickier concepts. Perhaps I'm a bit biased in this, as my degrees are in Business and to help pay my way through University, I tutored the university's (American) football players in accounting. There were times when I would rather have had dental work done than to try and help those idiots. I never understood why they were all business majors.
I hope you aren't overloaded with evil!work this weekend and you'll be able to catch up on some much needed rest.
Interlibrary loan certainly sounds like a possibility! :-D
I do think it's useful for us to know the basics of accounting, but we were also handed out the material for the first two lectures on paper and the whole first lecture was basically the lecturer reading it off the page, so ... I suppose that I could just read through the rest of it myself. Next week is an overview of some of the major accounting / finance / business software programs used here though, so that's definitely something I should be there for.
I hope I can get some rest and fresh air, too, although the way things look now, I'll need to do at least some work over the weekend. Depends on how much I'll get done tomorrow, I suppose.

I've managed to do one prompt so far. But it's a good one.

(Seriously, everyone who is still wibbling and undecided needs to sign up!)

I'll sign up, even if at the moment my brain is empty like vault 713.

I'm fairly certain I will too, though I still have to think of prompts. Brain's not prompty at the moment.
