Well, as un-fun as that sounds, I'm glad to hear the news was good!

Thanks! I was glad, too - even if I'm feeling decidedly crappy and ouchie now that the numbness is wearing off. Ah well, this feeling usually clears off by the next day.

It's improvement in the sense that I'll get to keep my tooth (or what's left of it)!

And also, after next week, this means I'll be done with all the more immediate "groundwork" - shouldn't have anything else apart from a bridge and a few crowns needed, but those can/have to wait. It's been a long and painful year...

*hugs too*

It certainly beats losing one's teeth.

Quite! I'm still regretting taking so very long to find the courage for the whole ordeal, but it's a bit too late to really think about that now, so I'm just pleased for the "small" victories.

I'm not normally squeamish, but I will admit that this made me cringe a bit. Still, as you say, it's better than losing a tooth.

I hope you don't get too much of an ouchie when the anaesthetic wears off.

I did cut, and avoided going into too much detail... *adjusts halo*

It's OK if I don't let the upper and lower teeth meet now. Any slightest pressure on it currently means a flash of fiery ouchie going through it (gum tenderness at its post-dentistry best), and I have a horrid taste in my mouth, but all that ought to be gone by tomorrow.

Well, if I were squeamish as a rule, I wouldn't have clicked. I must be being all sensitive and princessy today or something.

Some days just are like that!

I'll admit to keeping my eyes closed most of the time at the dentist. It's one thing to have to feel everything that is going on, but quite something else to have to see all the tools going in, too.

Yay for good news! Even if it is expensive, better than having a tooth yanked out.

Hope the post-anaesthetic ouch was no more than expected and is getting better.

Definitely better, yes! Even if there is a bit of pain to suffer.

I don't really expect the tenderness to wear off until morning. Grrr. Soft foods for me today, I suspect.
