Kathy and I made some back in July but we didn't have the correct recipe. This time we did and they were oh so much better. ;)

Come on down...we'll make you some good ol' southern foods. :)

I eat dinner at 9:30 am all the time. Of course, I work overnights so when I get home in the morning that is my dinner time. :)

Hi, what is the right recipe for the milk gravy?

Thanks!

This is what we used:

"FRIED GREEN TOMATOES WITH MILK GRAVY
Servings: 4
3 tbs Bacon grease
4 Tomatoes: green, firm, sliced
2 Eggs, beaten
Flour
Milk
Salt
Pepper
Heat your bacon grease in a heavy frying pan. Dip tomatoes in eggs, then in bread crumbs. Slowly fry them in the bacon grease until golden brown on both sides. Put your tomatoes on a plate.
For each tablespoon of grease left in the pan, stir in one tablespoon of flour and blend well; then stir in one cup warm milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper till you like it.
Pour over the tomatoes and serve hot.
The best there is."
