I'm delighted for you... but isn't one of you allergic to kitties? Am I remembering wrong?

yes, Christian is allergic. It was starting to get to him after an hour in the shelter, since there were so many cats in such a small space. But since he didn't really pet them, it didn't get into his eyes, where it would really irritate him.

Basically, Christian does much better with short-hairs and his allergies aren't really bad unless there's cat hair all over the place. The places he has issues are where the cat sheds all over the place and the owners don't clean. We also both grew up with cats, so assumedly, being exposed to them again would make your body more used to them.

I thought I remembered trying to defur my apartment once when you two came over! I still have that same pair of cats, by the way. I'd offer a playdate once you get yours, but I'm not sticking mine in the car for a drive to New Haven.

that's a nice offer. For the first few months we need to get them acclimated to our apartment, but after that, a play date may be in order!
