dreaming in another language

This morning, quite strangely, I had a dream almost entirely in German. It started off in English, with me and my best friend Nick from college visiting Berlin. It must have been the end of our trip together, because he left to go back to the US a short ways into the dream. Instead, my mother came out to spend the next week with me in Berlin. I was

German, it's been a while... I got "Yes, I haven't spoken German for four years, [deshalb?] I must [erinneren?] lots of words." (Yeah, I know I ignored the "mich", couldn't see how another accusative fitted into that sentence.) My contextual guess would be deshalb=some kind of connective, erinneren=forgotten. Yes?

yeah, it had been a while for me with German too, which is why the dream was so unusual.

deshalb = therefore
erinneren = remember, which is reflexive, hence the mich.
