I wouldn't vote for a FAIR Tax advocate, of course: Dropping all taxes on capital gains and putting the whole tax base on retail sounds really unstable to me, on top of the regressivity issues. I've always thought it was largely advocated by the sort who know so little about the finance sector they don't realize they're putting more of the tax base on themselves. And that's the charitable guess.
But it is interesting that someone who hasn't been mentioned much in the media is getting invited.
