This was the first of the Presidential debates I've managed to catch in full, although I had to watch it in bits and pieces before finally finishing this (Saturday) morning. Before, I've been content to get commentary after the fact, mainly because my current favorite, Gary Johnson, hasn't been invited to the previous debates. How did I think

I haven't been watching these. Gary Johnson was actually in one? Wow. Well, good for him.

I wouldn't vote for a FAIR Tax advocate, of course: Dropping all taxes on capital gains and putting the whole tax base on retail sounds really unstable to me, on top of the regressivity issues. I've always thought it was largely advocated by the sort who know so little about the finance sector they don't realize they're putting more of the tax base on themselves. And that's the charitable guess.

But it is interesting that someone who hasn't been mentioned much in the media is getting invited.
