Day 2 of the conference. Today was quite sunny. Lucky for those people who had an outdoor activity. I spent most of the morning in bed hoping my head would explode and be done with it. Coolness! Why do they always seem to have people make pork loins, I wonder. Did you get to choose what activity you do, or were you assigned? If the latter, what good luck. :)

Sorry you weren't feeling well, though. Wonder why they have it somewhere that's likely to cause a good number of people to feel ill...

I got to chose. There were a whole bunch of different things. I mainly just wanted it to be someplace warm and since I like cooking I thought it would be fun. It actually was much more fun than I expected. I think mainly because it was seen as more of an entertaining as well as educational activity. We had a waitress to take care of our drinks, and they took care of most of the cleaning and setting up. And some of the guys were really having fun with it.

As for why here, well the truth is that it is just very beautiful out here. The views are incredible and the facilities and catering are very good as well. I can easily say that this is one of the best if not the best conference venue I have ever been to. Also the fact that they could offer things like skiiing and white water rafting and hiking on the mountains as activities probably helped as well.

susan said to drink lots of water. when she had a competition up there they were pouring water into them. it's suppose to help because the higher altitudes dehydrates.

I have been drinking tons of water. They keep lots of glasses and pitchers around and everybody is constantly drinking water. Makes for a lot of lines in bathroom, but that is how it goes. But they have been taking very good care of us. It is just that at 9,000 feet my body is not contributing.
