When my sister and I were little, we had heard Madeline so many times that we could read the exact words on the exact pages completely from memory. (We couldn't quite read yet.) This made me think of that.
But honestly, I'm surprised that this kid reduced Adam to wearing a sheet on his head. It's just . . . so unlike him.
