Did- you a-ll see that? I was right! I said it and it was true and foreverythingthatisholywhyisitflyingaround?! Tell me, just so ole Jackie Boy hasn't completely lost his head, Do you see it too? The Kraken? Flying. Tell me you see it too?
[Jack will be hiding staying out of the thing's way and forever suspicious of what the sack that was left

Least that's what it seems he brought everyone else.

[Disbelief. So much. He has it.}

Also for djinn-vessels and pirates apparently.]
Yep, a toy. You'll like it; every pirate should have a parrot.
Reply
If that is a parrot, then I'm King George.
[He shakes his head.]
And anyways, Cotton was the one keeping the parrot. Spoke for him. Never quite figured out how he got the bird to do that- I'm not so well with animals myself. Better off without them.
[Damn monkey.]

Parrots are pretty good at picking up what people say. Though I don't think it's simply mimicry? Dunno, never had a parrot myself.
And the Furby isn't technically an animal, so you might find a pretty good companion in this guy. If not I'm sure someone will take him off your hands for you. The Doc might like it.

[Internally Jack twitches at the thought.]
You see. That's the problem with Cotton's parrot, you have to understand, Cotton himself was a mute. Tongue cut out.
[He's staring holes through the sack where he was keeping it still, along with the ridiculous outfit that came with it.]
As companion's go, I rather prefer mine breathing and with curves- you see. So, if you can point me at 'The Doc'? I'd be happy to oblige him in relieving myself of this, furbee. Unless you'd wish to take it off my hands instead?
[Tammy, it almost sounds as though you like the brightly colored big eyed crazy talking fluff balls!]

[See her grin? come on, Jack, focus on the grin and not the Kraken.]
Had his tongue cut out? Geez, Cap'n, what'd he do to deserve that?
[She'll get back to that parrot later.]
And you know the Doc, Cap'n. S'Malkus, your loyal first mate and half the reason you have your ship back. But if you can't find him I'll take it for safe-keeping and give it to him next time I see him.

At least it was an imaginative reshaping.
[Most pirates are rather uncreative- especially in the way of names.]
Pelegostos. Don't quite know what happened but that much was clear. They probably ate it as an appetizer.
[Why does this conversation keep bringing up all the times he's either been eaten, or been close to being eaten?]
Oh! Right then! Malkus! There's a good lad if ever there was one. The ship- well...
[He lets the thought hang. Jack can't use the ship anymore. At least there were others who were entertained by it somewhat.]
in anycase I will accept your offer- now where would you have this exchange to take place?
Reply
Wanna meet me by the lake, where the ships been, uh, docked? Or whatever you call what they did to it. I can take it from you and see if the Doc wants it.
Reply
Docked works, though mooring is better. Since there's no dock to be tied to- Anyways! Yes! Let us meet and exchange!
Please.
[It's freaking him out!]

[And true to her word Tammy is standing on the banks of the lake staring at the moored (look who learned a new word!) boat, watching the water lap at the....hull? That seems right to her. She's carrying her backpack with her journal tucked under one arm.]

[Jack was rather eager to get rid of this strange and disturbing present of the kraken's. He's also brought the rather cheerfully colored sweater. He won't be wearing something like that much at all. Better to pass it on, in hopes that it might get some use then throw it in the fire- ]
I brought something else. Perhaps one of you can use it as well?
[He holds up the sweater, and has the furby by the back leg- like a downed prey animal.]
Reply
Definitely. Thanks cap'n.
[Tammy pulls off and unzips her backpack, taking the Furby and putting is carefully in her bag, then zipping and putting it back on. The sweater she just folds over one arm.]
Not keen on the holidays then?
Reply
Welcome, glad it can get some use then.
[He gestures to the sweater.]
Might be a bit big on you. You'll need a belt, lass.
Reply
[Tammy smiles, patting the sweater.]
Thanks for it, anyway. Even if it will be more of a sweater dress, least it'll keep me from going blue with the cold.
