Android & Bluetooth keyboard success

Yesterday I tried the Android Bluetooth keyboard driver “BlueKeyboard JP” ( Market link) again, and got it to work with my Palm Bluetooth Keyboard. The catch is/was that it will only connect to the keyboard if it's discoverable, not if the keyboard is just trying to connect. This android app "works" only to the extent of typing lowercase, non-shift-ed characters/symbols. The "Shift" key doesn't seem to have any effect, producing the bottom-row characters. Any fix for that?

I don't use the app any more because Android now has built-in Bluetooth keyboard support, but have you tried pressing Shift, releasing it and then pressing the other key, rather than holding down Shift as one would on a normal keyboard setup?
