i'm sorry this is so incredibly late :( but i hope it's enjoyable all the same!

minho wipes his palms on his jeans as he waits for the doorbell to ring. he's pretty sure everything is ready: the temperature is holding steady at a pleasant 20°C, there's old jazz playing unobtrusively in the background, and the food is done and just waiting to be taken out of the oven. nevertheless, minho can't help but check nervously on every room to make sure everything is as it should be. he's just lighting another candle in the bathroom when the cheerful ding-dong rings through the apartment. minho's heart jolts, and he nearly drops the match. "coming!" he yells, shaking out the match once the wick catches fire. he goes back to the living room and takes a final, steadying breath before he opens the door with the smile he practiced in the mirror for a week

"she was born with craniosynotosis, which basically means that her skull was shaped like a long oval instead of a sphere," jinki is saying. minho likes the way he moves his hands as he talks, enthusiasm extending even to the tips of his fingers. "so she had to wear this little helmet as a baby to fix it, and now she has this teddy bear that wears it instead. she takes it everywhere," jinki beams. he looks almost as young as his patients when he does that, even with the glass of red wine cradled in one hand

"come in," jinki laughs, and minho enters to find him sitting cross-legged on top of the sheets. he reaches out and draws minho in to sit next to him, twining their hands together. "i'm sorry to put you out like this

THIS IS SO CUTE k;sdfakj and way more than I expected for a random prompt I literally pulled out of the air. I love your interpretation--they're each other's pillows eeeeeeee

You made such good use of the comment spacing as breaks in the fic. When Onew/Jinki slipped I laughed so hard--perfect and not overt use of klutz in the fic. And it's cool how details about these two surface in the dialogue. MINHO IS SO ADORABLE with his blushing, and alkdfkl it's great how Jinki is gently urging him along, and they're both so squishy in each other's presence!!

JINKI YAWNING DURING A KISS alkdsjf anyone else would have been slapped and anyone other than minho would've hit him

thank you for giving me such a fun prompt to work with! at first the open-endedness of it made it hard for me to come up with ideas (which is why this was so late orz) but once i got started it was easy. i'm really happy you liked it, and happy march to you too :D
