A/N: I'm sorry for taking so long.

On the day the world comes to an end, when screams replace the sound of birds chirping in the morning and the smell of rotting flesh is simply an afterthought, Fei goes into her closet and grabs a backpack, the biggest sturdiest one she can find and in it she places a fishing line, a compass, two survival blankets, waterproof matches, duct tape, a pocket knife, bottled water, beef jerky and a can of peaches.

In her heart big yet aching, she places hope, bright and sparkling.

I love how you've managed to fit such great characterisation into so few words - how Jia's capable but doesn't think ahead and closes herself off, and how Fei's exactly the opposite. I really enjoyed this, thank you!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your fill. I was worried that it was too short, to be honest. Usually zombie fics have such potential for lengthy fics (there are barely any zombies at all in this fill, now that I think about it).
