kpopbigbang challenges kpopwriters to create long fic! The challenge will run in two waves; the first wave for fics of a minimum of 20,000 and the second wave for fics of 10,000 words.

the 10k does get more time, this is so writers who sign up for the 20k but realize they might not reach that can switch to the 10k wave of fics

I've never participated in any of those... so I have two questions.

1. If I sign up for the 10k wave and my fic ends up being more than 20k... it's not a problem, right?
2. When I sign up, do I have to send you a summary or sth or just sign up and write whatever and then send it to you?

1. That's not a problem at all!
2. No summary necessary, just send in your fic by the deadlines for each wave.

There is no word count minimum for either of the drafts

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. As long as you can expand that idea into either a 10k or 20k fic that's fine.

Is there a certain due date before a writer is allowed to drop out?

Since writer will not be getting art with their fic, there's no penalty for dropping out. Writer can do so at any point if needed.
