Man, and I thought it was rough last week when we didn't have hot water for a while. (Let's just say that everything being washed by hand on an extremely busy lunch shift is more than a little nutso, and thank god the Health Department didn't randomly drop by or we'd have been fucked.)

we shouldn't have been open period because Health Code states that if you don't have running water, you can't open an establishment-- a water contamination preventing the use of said running water counts under the same law... yeah, we were all pushing the limit...

though we were the only other restaurant who shut their kitchen down; the other square employees were like, "I don't know how we're doing it, but if someone gets sick it's not my fault!"
