I finally wrote my first fanfic.
It's a song fic- and is still sort of in the editing process.

[I dig my toes into the sand.]
Her muscles are tight and trembling as the pre-show jitters attack her, adrenaline beginning to pump through the crevices of her brain. The buzz for “Ready?” in the HUD of her helmet temporarily interrupts the music that tiny speakers are projecting into her ears. She gives the straps of her parachute one final check, making quick adjustments to the harness. The blink of a little green light just in her periphery prompts her to tip forward and fall into the draft humming around the plane.
[The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket.]
The force spins her, and she feels the pressure of colliding with the sky itself. Then she feels herself fall, rather than being pulled apart. She takes just a spare second to glance around, seeing how the coast plays out, the sun beginning to fall into sea, though the details are still so far away, as if looking down on a map.
[I lean against the wind. Pretend that I am weightless.]
Here her body language becomes lucid, languid, and full of relief. Though she must struggle to maintain the posture which keeps her from tumbling out of her graceful plummet and into a terrible one, she feels a state of zen overcoming her. Her high manipulates her thoughts, and she knows why some people are addicted to drugs.
[And in this moment I am happy...]
Kim Possible takes a deep breath, letting her eyes flutter closed, just for a moment.
[Happy.]
In the darkness, with the force of gravity drawing her towards the earth, she thinks-
[I wish you were here.]
She sits in the sand, her toes working little grains against her skin with faint movements brought on by excitement and unsubduable hopes. Her arms are curled around her legs, drawn to her chest, and chin on her knees. A perfect day on a perfect beach, in a perfect coast-side town.
[I lay my head onto the sand.]
Her relaxation snowballs until she lets out an almost angry breath, falling onto her back and crossing her hands over her abdomen, eyes full of turbulent emotions as she stared ever up into the vibrant, radiating colors of the sunset.
[The sky resembles a backlit canopy with holes punched in it.]
A playful breeze swoops up the waters edge, brought on by the tides, and the smell of salt water is so strong that she can practically taste it. There is something familiar about it, not unlike deja vu in the way that it pulls little strings in the back of her mind. Suddenly she feels as if she is waiting for something.
[I’m counting UFO’s. I signal them with my lighter.]
Shooting stars and seagulls cross her field of vision, playing tricks on her eagerly receptive eyes.
[And in this moment I am happy...]
Shego recalls the last time they were in a place like this, and how she wished they’d had the freedom to enjoy it, as she is doing now; but is glad she has gotten the chance, with or without her.
[Happy.]
Still, she makes a point to stop on her way back to the hotel, getting a post card with palm trees addressed to Kim that reads-
[I wish you were here.]
Kim begins to feel turbulence as she falls, her eyes snapping open.
[My life’s a roller coaster.]
The little green light of her HUD is blinking again- deploy the ‘chute!
[And I am not strapped in.]
Her reflexes take over, hand jumping to the ripcord, fist tight as she yanks it hard. And nothing happens.
[Maybe I should hold with care.]
She tries two more hard, quick snaps of the wrist before reaching for her back-up ‘chute. It too, does nothing.
[But my hands are busy in the air saying...]
She is fast approaching the ground as her high is brought to an ugly end.
[I wish you were here.
I wish you were-]
And so abruptly her wrist is grabbed, being guided back into reality with a touch from the real world.
[I wish you were here.]
Her eye’s snap open, and staring her in the face is Shego, in free-fall with her, sharp features clear beneath the face-plate of her helmet.
[I wish you were here.]
Kim grins. Shego grins back when the other girl grips her forearm.
[I wish you were here.]
The green LED flickers on her HUD.
[Wish you were here.]
They separate, and parachutes blossom, drifting on the wind towards land.
