I think tomorrow we will be hitting up a shipwreck off the coast...

Yeah - i have been certified (Advance Openwater) for over 10 years.

You failed to mention how equally adept i am at making that get up look utterly stupid.

Well hey - you have to be more comfortable and confident at diving to float there under the water WITHOUT your regulator in your mouth - so there! :P hah.

I fell in love with scuba diving the same way in the great barrier reef. I think going to Hawaii to get certified would be a splendid idea!

We are going back to the Great Barrier Reef again this September, now armed with kozy's certification to do some actually diving (when we went last year we only snorkled).

Ha! Thats awesome! I would move there in a heartbeat to do just that. Being underwater is so amazing, and so calming. Sometimes its like the fish don't even know what to think of you (what would you do if you saw a dolphin walking down the sidewalk?).
I went twice during my trip, and the second time I got to stick my hand inside a giant clam! Scuba diving changed my look on life.

i did it once in egypt
it was the same thing with insctructor, he takes you by the hand and swimms you arround some rock with fish :) looks amazing, but scarryyy!
dont know why, but me and my girl we decided not to dive the second time.

Well - i guess scuba is for some people and not for others. Both kozy and I feel very comfortable underwater, and find it relaxing, not scary in the least -freeing if anything.

The picture is not in muddy water or deep water or at night. It is just shot with a very crappy camera with a weak flash. Not very good for taking underwater photos. The dive was actually in beautiful clear water on a bright day (although we were diving along the side of an island, and i think the sun was blocked out by the land a bit).
