Dear Diary,

I had two interviews this week. One for a part-time job receptionist gig at the gym where I've been working out. The other volunteering at a non-profit that shelters homeless families. It turns out that the woman who owns the gym also has a non-profit and will need some grants written. And the non-profit needs help with their website.

they all sound really good. learning about grants and stuff is valuable in a lot of different sectors. but are you just doing something with their website? or will you be helping find/write/submit them?

Yeah they said they could put me through Grant Writing 101 so I'm really looking forward to that. Depending on what I learn and how I take to it, I may look into taking a course on grant writing. For their website, I'll probably be coming up with content to give potential funders something to read. Testimonials from families they've heldped, more info about their program. Right now it's really bare-bones.

oh wow that sounds very promising. well, good luck! i have some fundraising/grant writing books from my time in museum studies and documentary filmmaking. i was going to donate them somewhere anyways, but if you're interested i'll be happy to ship them down to you.
