A Pan-girl ^O^
Here is box-opening for a limited SoOm doll [MD/June] Coquina - Eternal Destiny
A prehistory:
Once I saw Coquina teaser on the website ->
(this one) like many others, I was absolutely sure, that was a young man, rather than a girl. For a day or two I was visiting her page, thinking of how Soom could create such a strange face for a woman. And then, after several days of staring at her teaser, I was completely in love with her. Coquina wasn`t that sugary type of bjd girls, that could easily be found around. Her look was very delicate: hiding under the veil, she looked full of wisdom and dignity.
That`s why even I didn`t plan to buy any new dolls that moment, I put her on 3 months layway, buying a NS full-set of her...maybe except the eyes (I didn`t like the eyes in the NS version) and except seam-sanding ( I regretted about this later, as I`ve ordered a body blushing).
I ordered her in the end of June, paid-off in the middle of August and received on 21st of October.
Soom started to ship Coquinas in the end of August-beginning of September, but my doll arrived so late as I`ve ordered the new elbow arms for her (luckily NS allowed me to do this) and told the company to assemble the full doll with them. That hold off my shipping notice for a month or so.
Anyway, here is a box-opening itself:
1. The box turned out to be not as heavy, as I expected. It is very compact and I delievered it myself from the EMS office to my house.
2. Fairy parts and accessories were the first things I saw, once I opened the box.
Soom didn`t put any presents (T_T) - no candies or the postcards. Only the things for which I paid.
That looked rather strange to me, as I`ve paid for the whole order around $1400 USD.
Soom is a rather greedy company, I must say (-_-)
3.Also, in the box I found " The owner`s guide" , Soom Certificate of Authenticity and a magic element card (of a very cheap printing quality, I must say). I put aside them at once and continued un-boxing the doll.
4. At last, that moment has come ^O^ I`m opening her.
I was really impressed of how Soom packed the doll. Because of the great package and so many cushions (even between her legs) my Coquina arrived undamaged: without any broken parts or a scratched make-up/body blushing.
The first moment I saw her face, I even started to squall, so beautiful she was. When I got a shipping notice, I was afraid that I wouldn`t like my girl. But she turned out to be exactly what I wanted and even better!!! ^__^ SOOM, thank you for this!!
About the last photo: in this way Super Gems arrive to their owners - without feet and hands.
Being not aware of how to string the hooved girls, I just assembled the human version of Coquina.
If you look closely at the image, you will see, that the normal skintone of Coquina (the head, body and legs) doesn`t match the usual Soom normal skin!!! (that new-elbow arm parts, that I ordered separately)
Coquina`s NS is more yellow. The usual normal skin is more pink.
5. This girl has got really huge eyes . My Kanis Augen 16mm green-gray eyes were not big enough for her.
Other 16mm eyes with bigger iris worked just fine for Coquina.
The make-up is very well-done. The lines are accurate and clear.
The only thing I don`t like about Coquina`s make-up is the shape of her eyebrows. They are too small and set very close to the eyes.
Still, I think, Soom made such brows because of the wig. If the eyebrows were set little higher, they couldn`t not be seen under the long bangs of the wig

8. Following the traditions, here is a "cat in the box" (^.~) v
9. And now about Coquina`s outfit: 3-pieces set - a top, a skirt and a cloak.
The skirt is wrapped around the hips and fasten on the belly by one small button.
Unfortunately, the stripe of the leather-like material stains the doll`s belly and hips T_T
The top has a lacing for easy putting-on:
The shoes. Very beautiful, but made of the same leather-like material, that remains the stains on the doll.
The cloak is huge. It has 2 pins and 2 small buttons, so Coquina could put it on. This is how it looks:
