I'm leaving Nairobi in less than 5 hours. Long story short, I wasn't able to summit Kili; altitude sickness, hallucinations, vomiting, the works, but I did make it within 1000 feet. I can be pleased with that! I'm currently in Karen, named for Karen Blixen, staying with some acquaintances (Nigel and Barbara, everything you'd expect from European Kenyans, very lovely). At present, we're dealing with warthogs in the garden, which I find appropriate for my last day here.
I can't wait to hear all about your training and all the happenings stateside. I'm sure we have stories to exchange! I'll try to call you from Heathrow, given that it's not too late. Much love!
