Umphrey's McGee is a band that I was introduced to by my friends down here, and I thought of them as soon as you said "highly emotive instrumental music." And with song titles like "Miss Tinkle's Overture" and "Jajunk Pt. I" I can't see how anyone wouldn't like them.
