I'm suddenly wondering if they talked about that scene in the commentary. Probably not. I gotta rewatch it! lol
I feel like they must have talked about the lights somehow...

the lights going out one is perfect. When i watched it i kept thinking poor lestrade hes totally just been left there in the dark.

Beer and Milk, at least Sherlock got the idea right... sort of...

The one with lights going out is perfect and I'm convinced that's how it went, they just had to cut off the Lestrade-in-dark bit because of time limit or something.

I doubt Sherlock would bother watching it. Politics and sentiment? Dull.

It could also be that it's symbolic. SHERLOCK IS ALWAYS LEAVING LESTRADE IN THE DARK.
