I would first like to comment the person authoring this list is obviously either lazy, a member of Oprah's Book Club, or both. The fact they included "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" in addition to both "Hamlet" and "The Complete Works of Shakespeare" tells me they're an idiot. Personally I would recommend Edith Wharton over Jane Austen any day of the week. I would also include the following by removing most of the "Top 10" best-sellers:
