The fact that nobody has commented on this chapter is a travesty. Not only have you continued to offer fine characterisations, but you've now given us some wonderfully ... plotty ... plot.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING HERE!! ♥

See, the problem was that I updated with part 6a and part 6b on the same day. That meant people just clicked on the end link to continue in fangirlish eagerness without actually taking time to stop and comment. D:

WELL THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES FOR THEM THOUGH. I'm never uploading two parts at once again, srsly. *headdesk*

I'm glad the plot works for you b/c I was highly worried that it didn't make sense or that TOS fans would be like "OMG THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WOULD GO!!" B/c that's the way my life works sometimes. -_-;;

"I may be able to make an emitter that would clear the air of the chemicals harmful to electronics in a small radius around it." Everyone looked at Spock, and he felt as though he had said something profound instead of the simple solution he knew it was.

"Well. That would be awesome," Jim said. "So maybe work on that."

"Yes, sir," Spock said, as if he hadn't just said he would.

This is it-- in a nutshell. Why I love this fic. :)

LOL, I'm so glad you quoted that bit! That was a particular favorite part of mine. I love it when Spock is all like, "I AM SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS. D:" \o/

I am a bad reader ::hangs head:: We rcently got the last episode of Supernatural season four over here and I became obsessed interested in reading a lot some Dean/Castiel and neglected all my other fandoms. Now I'm catching up with myself ( ... )

Thanks a lot for commenting! ♥ LOL, you're not a bad reader! I ship wincest, though. SPN does rock, and Castiel is sexy! I've got like 18928287 unfinished SPN fic, and one of them's a Dean/Cas/Sam fic my friend requested for her birthday. EPIC FAIL, SELF. But the point is: I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND YOUR DISTRACTION. :D

You know, I'm sure I'm accidentally repeating some plots in TOS, so you're probably right. I'm only half-way through season 2 and already I'm forgetting what I've seen. *headdesk*

The stupid colonists just cause all sorts of problems for everyone. But what can you do? That's how plot happens. XD

... OMG I FORGOT JIM HAD A SPARE COMMUNICATOR. UMM... I don't think it matters at this point, though. LOL EPIC FAIL SELF WTF. *headdesk*

Spock is so in the dark, he's practically blind. Oh, Jim and Bines. Their banter keeps me happy. Also, Jim and Spock's banter keeps me happy, actually. XP

Oooh, new mission! (And poor Pike. XD)

Although, Jim thought Spock looked pretty damn… uh, friendly.

...Friendly? Really? Somehow, I think it was something else.

(And no. There isn't going to be a heterosexual reason for this. Noope. :D)

Jim grinned cheekily at him and walked out of the room, leaving Spock standing there, wondering how Jim had won an argument against him. Using logic.

DUNNO, BUT IT WAS AWESOME.

Thanks a lot for commenting! <3

Mission are fun in theory but sucktastic in practice. At least, writing them is that way. It's a love/hate thing, really.

You know, I think you may be on to something there. Jim might have possibly thought Spock was some mysterious other thing which could not be sexy. XD

Jim winning an argument against Spock using logic makes me insanely happy. \o/
