Jones Soda Rocks

For getting rid of HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) from their Soda. I can finally stop buying the rather crappy organic stuff now :)

Unfortunatly it's in damn near everything that needs sugars....

I went and bought applesauce at the regular grocer the other week. It tasted funny (normally I make it from scratch). Turns out the SECOND ingredient was HFCS.

So now if I want it out of season (and didn't make enough) I have to pay an extra $0.45 for the organic stuff at the co-op.

If soda will get away from it, maybe other foods too so those of us who aren't supposed to have refined sugars can eat too!

We've started shopping at Whole Foods for that sort of stuff - finding BREAD without it in there is hard enough without a coop or store of that nature. It eats into the grocery budget though....which may not be a bad thing ;)

The nice thing about Jones soda is they are selling 24 packs of cans (12 Rasberry Lemonade, 6 Strawberry Lime, 6 Green Apple) at Costco for a LOT less than Jones sells it in the bottles online or in stores.

There are a bunch of alternatives to Jones though, Whole Foods has a generic brand that uses only cane sugar as well, and it's usually about the same as regular soda.
