Psh, depressing. They were dark, yeah, but they weren't depressing. Actually, the over-arching theme was one of imminent optimism, which is the weird part. (You can be dark and optimistic at the same time, don't argue with me.)
Those were cute. ^_^ Despite the fact that I don't really like Benjamin, there were lovely, lovely themes to those that I really enjoyed.
One note, though: I think Beethoven's Last Night was finished post-death, so technically it's Trans-Siberian Orchestra that did it, not Savatage. But, uhm, Savatage doesn't get enough love, so . . . *LOVES ON SAVATAGE*
Also, Skillet = win. I adore that CD. The mix of a guy (who sings like a guys! e-gads!) and classical instruments with hard-ish rock is just gorgeous. Mm, CD. Love~
