Oh, I have much the same feelings about Vergil and Homer! I have had lots to say about both, but I enjoy Homer so much more. Vergil has such a specific agenda, whereas Homer is more about the story.

Thanks! That's part of my point! Well, the point of the whole diss is that rewrites have agendas...not to judge them, but to draw a line through each one and to fic.
