Two handguns were recovered from the scene. It was not clear if other adults were injured, the official told WNBC's Jonathan Dienst. The official had no information about any children being hurt at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

I read the Hartford Courant's article first, and the comments there just had me sobbing. Knee-jerk pro-gun

As a parent, I can't even think about it. I mean, obviously I am, but because it is so awful and unthinkable my brain just keeps going "I can't, I can't, I can't."

They're reporting more than 20 dead now, most of them children. *whimper*
