I can relate to this so hard - sometimes I miss working in retail, where at least the schedule would vary between mornings, daytime, and evenings. Working an office job has a tendency to make everything very samey and to make years fly by in the blink of an eye!
It's been a long time since I've worked in any kind of office setting with other people, so this just feels like a nice reminder of why I'm lucky to be working from home in a permanent remote position now.
Hot chocolate used to be my preferred hot drink of choice too, and it still is in certain situations. There's only one kind of coffee I will drink, so I never get it when I'm out (it's never on the menu, but even if it was, I'd still probably only drink it at home).
I remember those days when I commuted and worked for other people. As someone who is self-employed, it's rather nice to be reminded of those days - the interaction with other people was lovely.

It sounds like you enjoy your job? So that helps. That you can relax there (in a way)?
I enjoyed all the sensory details in your entry, like the steam rising for the mug, and your shoulders easing.
