It's funny what seems to make so much sense when you're chasing an addiction, and so horrifying by the sober light of day. That fact that her friend was still in the business was a pretty good sign she was still hooked.

Oh wow, I'm glad the main character got out of there, but can totally understand how she'd still feel for her friend. The friend asking how she stayed clean -- I took that as a hopeful sign that maybe the friend will find her way out of that world eventually too. Well done!
