Haha, is that seriously considered a heat wave there? It's been... uh, calculator, one sec, 32.2°C here for about a week, and that's not even close to a record.
Yeah, pretty much anything going over 25°C is considered a heat wave here. Except for the warm-ish months (from May to around September depending on the year), Finland tends to be a somewhat cold place (or at least not too warm in any case).
The coldest time I've experienced was a few years ago on January when it was close to -30°C outside. We're still nowhere near Russia's coldness numbers, and winters and autumn are nowadays warmer but still...
I just can't stand the heat at all so trying to live near you would be suicide. I've recently been able to get tanned more easily but I just feel more at ease when it's not too hot. Many Finns disagree with me, though, and sometimes travel to Mediterranean countries because they think it isn't hot enough in here. xD
