check this out. That's quite an interesting short: it's an interpretation of the Sandman legend in a style reminiscent of Tim Burton's films. It could've actually given me nightmares if I had seen it as a kid.

Anyway, I like the way how Monster gradually draws you into its world as the episodes move on and how it doesn't instantly play the Fugitive aspect but it takes a while for the doctor to get into that position, and there are some nice sidestories about a few characters mixed in to give other perspective to what's going on. So far so good.
I'm glad to hear that you like Monster too. I'll keep those mangas you mentioned in mind. =)
