I did a similar thing not too long ago, in my journal (my written journal). I am so very terrible at staying in contact with people. Many of my friends have fallen away over the years. Not depressing, but certainly reflective.

I can't say that I'll always be here, but there's a world of difference between having to move when you're a kid (and you have no choice) and being an older person who knows exactly what happens when you jump into that gaping chasm.

Denver was an involuntary move, but it's worked out pretty well, i must say. Met some very high quality people here.
