I'm really glad you mentioned that! I was just thinking yesterday that you might find semyaza interesting. I came to her first through her icon posts, which are gorgeous - lots of things from antique manuscripts and quirky book illustrations. Her journal is locked, but there's a post (like this one of yours) which invites folk to be added. When she asks if you want to be on both filters, say yes - she discourses quite interestingly on a wide range of subjects including classic film, history, archeology, philosophy and religion, odd books she comes across in used bookstores. I don't comment too much because, to be honest, a lot of it goes right over my pretty little head, and I have enough opportunities to look stupid, but it's still very thought-provoking and interesting to read.

Thanks for that - I'll look more later and maybe broach the subject of friending - I'm always a little bit wary, since I do tend to bitch and whine a lot in my journal and I don't want to inflict that on anybody that can't take it!

I'm still here! Sorry I've been so very quiet - I'm constantly days and days behind on reading LJ, so I always feel like I'm too late to comment on things. And yes, I'm a bit shy. :D But I'm still here, if you don't mind me being here! :)

Don't worry about commenting late if you want to make a remark. *g* I don't always check back, but having missed a few friends' remarks when I first opened my journal, now I look back over the page now and again just in case.

I've deleted a few names because I know at least two are no longer posting at all, so it seemed the opportune time to tidy things up and look for one or two new journals to watch. But you are most welcome to stay! ;)
