Dear husband is gone as of today for a week, visiting his dad up in Western WI. While I'm going to miss him terribly, it's also an opportunity to be by myself and recenter a bit. Know what's fun? When obvious frauds/crooks call my work line. I'll get these calls with recorded messages talking about modifying my credit card debt or saving my home from foreclosure*, and to press one if I want to speak to a "counselor". So I press one. 1. One of the partners I work for is having a long, drawn out argument with the IRS on behalf of one of his clients over about $5,000. Now, this is not an unsubstantial amount, unless you're like this client and already getting a $383,000.00 refund. My mind cannot wrap around this.
