100 Word Drabble Batch
tinyangl, 1516 words
A/N: I tried to write drabbles that were only 100 words, so I asked my flist for prompts. I think I cheated ONCE. (The Koyashige J-web confessions.) The only one close to PG-13 is Matsujun/Inoue Mao/Oguri Shun. Everyone else is basically PG.

Ryopi
"Off the beaten path" for sanctified_x

Yamapi never worries when he's particularly lost, confused, just plain doesn't know what to do, because all he has to do is close his eyes and breathe. Then Ryo tugs on his hand, shows him the way, does the simple of act of letting him know that he's there, and Yamapi feels he's found his way again.

It shouldn't be that easy sometimes, Yamapi thinks. It shouldn't be so simple for one person to be able to tell him one thing and for him to listen.

But it's Ryo, and that makes all the difference in the world. Ryo knows him.

Shigepi
"Pi wants to celebrate Shige's birthday, but can't get away from the Code Blue set" for xarwenz

Happy Birthday, the text reads. Shige blinks at his phone in surprise, not expecting it to come at exactly midnight. He's more surprised when he realizes just who it comes from and his eyes soften. Thanks, he responds back.

He's still up an hour later, pretending to study for some test - but his mind is distracted when the doorbell goes off surprisingly.

"If you hadn't responded," Yamapi says sheepishly. "I probably wouldn't have rung the doorbell."

"It's late," Shige says, leaning against his door.

"You're still up."

Shige laughs. "That's true."

"So," Yamapi says, holding up a bottle of wine. "Happy birthday?"

Happy birthday, indeed.

Koki/Kame
"Based on this picture" for maya_morning

Koki had gotten into the habit of touching him whenever he could - it wasn't strange, Kame thought. But it was different. The touches weren't extravagant; he would drape an arm over Kame sometimes, maybe just the brush of the back of their hands was enough another day.

It was driving Kame almost crazy.

He wasn't sure how to react, wasn't sure how Koki wanted him to. But when Koki's head dropped to his shoulder, his arm around his waist, and Koki's breath tickled his skin right above his collarbone, Kame thought he could takes this one step at a time.

Tego/Shige
"Math" for mintchoc

"Pi?" Tegoshi worded out - as though it was some complex term.

"3.14," Shige reiterated in exasperation. "Not the person. And you're not even saying it correctly."

"But it's spelled the same!"

"I know you like thinking of Yamashita-kun, but he's not that important to be a mathematical term."

Tegoshi looked thoughtful for a second, spinning his pen around his finger. "He could be."

"Yamashita-kun can barely pass his statistics class."

"Hmm."

"Why are we talking about Yamashita-kun anyway?"

Tegoshi shrugged. "I don't know. You brought him up. Do you have a crush on him, Shige?"

Shige groaned and regretted agreeing to this tutoring session. Tegoshi had no patience.

Ohkura/Shige/Taguchi
"Strawberry ice cream and/or pool parties" for boycottbananas

"Ba ni ra!" Taguchi announced, licking away at his ice cream cone. (Vanilla or Burn it Up, if read differently.)

Shige raised an eyebrow at Ohkura who shrugged. "Is he talking to you who's about to dive or the flavor of his ice cream?"

"I already shrugged," Ohkura said before plunging into the pool.

Shige took a sip. "Is it weird that it's just the three of us here? From entirely different groups, hanging out in Ueda's pool?"

Taguchi blinked innocently, taking another lick. "No." Ohkura's answer was a splash in his direction.

"Yeah, I thought so too," Shige says, throwing on his sunglasses.

Jin/Kame
"Mangos" for anamuan

Kame rolled his eyes as he watched Jin chat up another girl. He turned back to the bar, hoping to keep his sanity.

"Don't act like that," Jin laughed, clapping him on the back, another strip of paper in his pocket.

Kame snorted. "I'm not acting like anything. I just don't get why girls fall for that."

Jin grinned, pulling out a mango. "Hey, want a mango?" he asked Kame, waggling his eyebrows. "And a go at a man while you're at it?"

Beside Kame, a girl nudged Jin. "If he doesn't accept, I sure will." Jin winked at her. Kame resisted from gagging.

Koyashige
"J-web confessions" for crystallekil

Kato Shigeaki is out with Koyama Keiichiro. They spend so much time together it's disgusting.

Shige: I have something to tell you.
Kei: Ah! Before that, Nyanta is sick~

First time! Kato Shigeaki needs to learn to assert himself.

Later,
Shige: I didn't get to say-
Koyama Keiichiro's phone goes off! Bad timing. Hey. Why is your phone on anyway?

Hey, are you talking to Tegoshi?

...How can you talk for an hour?!

Kato Shigeaki, say what you think already!

Kei: Sorry, sorry.

Koyama Keiichiro, you don't really think he'll forgive you so easily?! He's already pouting.

Kato Shigeaki didn't get to say what he wanted that night. Koyama Keiichiro, listen to your best friend when he has something to say! It could be important.

Matsujun/Inoue Mao/Oguri Shun
"Sensibility" for procreational

Mao giggled, falling into Shun's lap. Jun laughed on Shun's other side - a bottle of alcohol in his hands. "Here's to us!"

Shun stole it, lifting the rim to his lips. Mao knocked into him, falling into another fit, and some alcohol dribbled down his chin.

"Ah!" Mao exclaimed, rising up to lick at fallen drops. "Mustn't waste."

"That sounds like a good idea," Jun mumbled, leaning forward - even though there wasn't any left.

Shun moaned. "This is probably not."

"Don't be sensible, Shun," Jun laughed.

Mao's lips trailed, her hands on the sides of Shun's face.

"Okay, I can go with that."

Shuuji/Akira
"Swimming" for partypaprika

Shuuji looked over at the flailing Akira whose teacher was trying to keep him steady. A hand jetted out and smacked the teacher in the chin; Shuuji winced.

"Stand up!" the teacher grumbled, nursing his already sore jaw.

Akira did, then apologized shakily for the hit. His puppy-dog eyes darted to and fro from his teacher to Shuuji.

The teacher sighed, telling that they would have to start simpler. Akira tugged on Shuuji's arm as he passed and Shuuji sighed.

"Sensei, I'll teach him."

The looks of relief from both the teacher and Akira almost made this worth the while for Shuuji. Almost.

Ryoda
"Beach" forpartypaprika

"I was just at the beach yesterday because of Pi, and even then all I did was sit while he surfed. Can't we just stay in today?" Ryo groaned, collapsing on Ueda's couch.

Ueda frowned. "Well, that was with Yamashita-kun."

"Why do you wanna go anyway?"

"Running on the sand's good for the legs," Ueda said with a stiff upper-lip.

Ryo stared at him. "That's it?"

"Isn't it enough?" Ueda retorted, hands clenched at his side.

"Sure." Ryo stood, grinning at Ueda. "I'm game."

"Good, because I'm making you run with me."

Ryo raised an eyebrow.

"And I'm really not joking."

Ryo winced as he walked out the door.

Koyashige
"Swings and no shoes" for quinnsan

It was an empty park, the two of them sitting on swings in the dark of the night - solemn and tired. Koyama felt like this moment called for alcohol, but after what had just happened, being near alcohol made him feel sick.

"Suspension," Shige mumbled. He'd been saying it over and over again since they'd gotten the news.

Koyama couldn't tell him to stop, didn't want to. He slipped out of his sandals and pushed off the ground - he felt a sense of liberation. Koyama looked at Shige and wished it would stay this way forever.

They both knew better.

Jin/Ohkura
"Forget gravity" forpurebloodqueen

"Ah!" Jin yelped when he knocked into Ohkura in the hallways, spilling his coffee all over his front. "Sorry! Gravity is strong today."

Ohkura looked at him weird, ignoring the coffee dripping down his shirt. Jin flushed, covering his mouth, about to apologize when Ohkura said in amusement. "I thought that was Yamashita-kun's excuse."

Jin flushed darker. "I didn't-" He stopped, changing tracks. "I can get you another shirt."

Ohkura eyed him. "I'm sure you could."

Pause. "Why don't we take that shirt off you?"

"That sounds like a good start."

"Start?"

"Like you're surprised."

Jin barked out a laugh. "I think I like you." Ohkura smiled back.

Ryo/Lindsay
For bitofpixiedust

"Aren't you the elevator girl?" Ryo asked as soon as he entered the room.

Lindsay froze, turning around slowly and flushing when she saw Ryo. "I go by Lindsay?" she said, mentally berating herself for that.

"What are you doing here?"

Lindsay licked her lips - more out of nerves than for need, Ryo's eyes followed and her flush got darker. "I was hired. New translator. English to Japanese and vice versa."

Ryo looked mildly interested. "Once a week?"

"Twice."

"Dinner?"

"God, yes." Lindsay clapped a hand over her mouth. "I mean, what?"

"Dinner. I'm asking."

Lindsay blinked. "Still yes." Ryo grinned cheekily; Lindsay tried to hide her blush.

Ryo/Shige
"It's the little things that matter the most" for bitofpixiedust

Make sure to read to chapter 4.
Slipped inside his textbook, right where he'd last left off.

Eat dinner, you stick.
Right on top of his bento.

Get a haircut.
Inside his locker.

Shige dyed his hair and got a haircut - knocked two birds off with one stone.

"You look hideous," Ryo snapped, without even looking up from his script.

"You told me to get a haircut."

Ryo started to flush, but still didn't meet Shige's eyes. "I never said anything about dying it an ugly color."

Shige shrugged. Quiet. "Thanks," he blurted out.

Ryo eyed him weirdly. "No problem?"

"They were helpful."

"Someone has to look after you."

Kurosaki/Tsurara
"It's the little things that mean the most" for bitofpixiedust

She always cooked for him. He hated it. Not because she couldn't cook, because she could - god, she really could.

But Kurosaki wouldn't allow himself to bend that much. Letting Tsurara in that way would be almost acknowledging, promising. Saying that there could be more. More between them.

"It's not poisoned," Tsurara complained when he handed back her clean, empty plates.

"How do you know I didn't eat it?"

"Because you're you."

Kurosaki raised an eyebrow. "It was delicious."

Tsurara paused, before shaking her head. "Don't lie. Maybe I should stop."

"Hmm," Kurosaki's eyes met her. "Maybe."

She didn't, but Kurosaki didn't mind. Maybe.
