TEXTURELESS
Or simply, just coloring~ I'm a big fan of this type of challenge, which I've used before a lot in kpop20in20 if you follow the community. Textures allow you to be creative, so how creative can you be by taking that factor away? Concentrate on just coloring and cropping, no textures can be used at all, and this includes gradient fill textures.

SOLID NEGATIVE SPACE

An icon with negative space is one in which the subject only takes up half of the space or less in the icon. Keep the background solid, though you're allowed to use subtle gradients to add a bit of depth.
