definitely no money to move house. and no energy to do volunteer work. Altho I find the term 'volunteer' so convulated in this case.. when someone offers to do something with an objective in mind, still can call volunteer meh?!

Good for you, lucky for YX!
Volunteering doesnt guarantee a place either.
Coz for that phase (2B, i think) the school will allocate a certain slot and if more ppl apply in this phase then still ballot.
For Q she'll be going to the new brand new unbranded, unfamous school, in fact, building havent even completed yet but is like 5 mins walk from my place and I am sure definitely will hv place la coz NEW school means NOT popular!
To me convenience is everything. Dun care if it disappear in the next 10 yrs.
For all i know she might not even stay in singapore or marries a singaporean, that's the kids of the future. Also it's her problem to think abt her children not mine! haha

I also think convenience is quite important. new school also good... so all the facilities will be quite good. I will prob reconsider the school next to my block again, after observing my niece for the next 4 yrs. hahaha! It's just that if a staff of school tells u NEVER to send, then I really can't just send there with a clear conscience.. altho i doubt it is really that bad.

That's also a thot for us.
I dun mind my gals gg to missionary school in sec school but not in primary school coz as it is they are confused enuff abt their heritage and adding religion in the mix is gg to get them even more confused.
