See I didn't get any indication that Jack remembered anything. There was the blood on his neck, but other than that I didn't notice anything. I mean he remembered Desmond because he had met him before the crash. Running on the bleachers. So unless Desmond was some hallucination... I didn't see any signs that Jack remembered the island.
I gotta say I think Josh did a great job with that scene but I myself didn't feel anything. Later, with Miles though, I'm not sure I understand how Juliet would know that it worked unless she, like Desmond, mind jumped or something? I mean, he was the last guy who was in an explosion like that and that was his result... could be?
Thats what I think happened. She jumped, like the Redhead before she died. And the freighter. She saw another timeline, maybe them meeting, thats why she knew that it worked. She wanted to tell him something after her coffee moment.
I think Terry O'Quinn has just proven himself as an acting god. The fact that he is so entirely different as fLocke, even while still in Locke's skin, is just amazing. He's brilliant. And it makes Locke even more heartbreaking, in retrospect.
Also, the scene toward the end, in which Jack and Locke meet at the airport and Jack offers to help Locke... it was so touching, considering how their other selves have gotten along. I loved the idea that maybe, in a "normal" world, they could've been friends.
Juliet made me so sad. I don't think it's sunk in for me that she's actually gone.
I think Kate's going to end up with Jack in one timeline, and Sawyer in the other. *shrugs*
And there's speculation that Jacob is inhabiting Sayid's body now...
Dude I missed Terry being able to play the John Locke I loved and awesome scenes. He's incredible as the new bad guy.
I couldn't care less who ends up with who. I just want Sawyer and Juliet to have some kind of happy ending. For Juliet's sake. And as Laura said, the world would collectively vomit if Kate and Sawyer did it again.
I don't even care about the Sayid thing. Because it just wreaks of stupid plot. I love Sayid, but this seems lame.
I saw you posting on Laubutt's LJ about this and I was SO intrigued. Of ALL the theories I think you've hit the nail on the head b/c all the pieces line up completely. It also sort of fits with Jacob's line of "It only ends once...everything else is just progress"
Totally agree with you about the Jack/Locke scene @ the end. The best of the night. That is what LOST is to me. I'm such a Jater b/c I'm a silly girl @ times and I adore Matthew and Evi's dynamic but first and foremost I'm here for the story.
I'm really excited to see if your theory plays out. I would LOVE it.
I think Smokey got tired of the balance. Since it casted him out somehow. It's like Gabriel trying to return to heaven. Breaking all the rules to get there. The characters are just pets to them. The way he spoke to everyone like they were his dogs who had misbehaved.
Smokey wanted to kill Jacob so he can have control of the island I guess.
I'm glad this is public so I can read it. Thanks for that. I'm still bleary eyed and need to re-watch but I am saving this to memories to read later. Your insight is usually correct...I know with 24 it is. ;)
