The amputation site became infected and he has to go for more surgery to amputate above the knee now. He's been on the list, didn't go last night, might go today. He's an urgent case, which means he gets bumped by critical ones. His white blood cell count is down at the wound; I'm told this is good, it means it isn't going to become a systemic

I hope they got to him today. And that this surgery resolves the problem. Owie. :(

No.

And they called me a few minutes ago to tell me he's fallen out of bed. Minor cuts and bruises, but... He can barely move. For him to fall out of bed would take significant effort on his part, and considering someone is sitting 5 feet away from him, it's significant inattention.

The nurse said he'd just walked out on him...

This nightmare never ends. I don't know if Dad is delusional or trying to kill himself or what. I can't watch him all the time.
