1. Back from Brazilian Girls concert at the Red Room. None of the band members are Brazilian and only one of them is a girl. I'd hire their PR company. The hype is well-deserved though - am not really into this kind of lush, lethargic lounge fare, even with the electronica beat, but if I was, I'd be all over them. I enjoyed Brazilian Girls... but then again I like that downtempo electronica stuff... it's kind of cool that they're somewhat popular though. I didn't see them but I think having the CD is good enuf. :-)

i downloaded a couple of their songs: lazy lover and don't stop. it's very downtempo on CD but their live version is a bit faster with a more prominent electronica beat.
i think theyre good live. check them out next time they come to SF!
