Confusingly, we have two uses for 'tag' - game tags that livejournal uses (e.g. this post will be tagged with the "!mod" tag), and a term used to refer to comments in the game (so you could write "I tagged in ( Read more... )

Do people tend to use any other means to coordinate posts? I'm thinking of instant-messaging or LJ messaging to work out stuff out-of-game that might make things smoother in-game.

e.g. "If you're planning on having us walk through the market district, you can just have my character follow along and point out pretty things as you're making your main points." or "Hey, you still there? It's been three days since you last tagged in but I wanted to check with you before closing the thread."

Or is this what the OOC community is for?

A good question. People often use either email (provided in the sign up posts) or the OOC. In Excolo people have used chat to work that out, as well as to socialise - I should see about setting up an IRC channel for Kostantiniyye :)

Is it possible to send letters/leave notes for characters?
If so, how should we do it?

I totally didn't see this, sorry!

I assume there's a postal service if you know a character's address. So you could just write a closed post and have part of it be the letter, soo something like:

Monday, my house

It's a beautiful day, blah blah I decide to write my friend a note.

Dear lovely friend,

I hope to see you soon so that we may indulge in some romantic fripperies. Can we meet?

Cordially,

Me

I have my servant deliver the letter and hope I receive a response.
