Name: Kreshnik Ahmeti
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Nationality and/or ethnicity: Albanian by heritage and blood, but a citizen of the Ottoman Empire by law.
Religion: Muslim. Specifically, curious about the Bektashi Order, but not practicing.
Marital status: Married, and in theory open to finding a second wife to keep up appearances in Kostantiniyye. His wife, Tirana, is pregnant with their first child.
Occupation: Attache to the Ottoman Ambassador. (For now, anyway.)
Physical description: A tall, well-muscled young man with a distinctly eastern European appearance that he offsets with a preference for Ottoman fashions.

He spent the next five years working in his father's office until Hamza's heart condition, which had held steady for nearly a decade despite the strain of his position, worsened abruptly, resulting in his death. When he was offered a position as the attache to the Ottoman ambassador in Kostantiniyye a little over a year ago, he discussed the matter with his wife Tirana (a marriage arranged by their parents after his return home, but not one either of them opposed), and the pair of them decided that both his career and their small family could only benefit from some time spent away from their homeland. For Kreshnik, his post in Kostantiniyye isn't about escape; it's about patience. He has every intention of returning to Albania someday in the near future, carrying with him all of the power and influence and security for his family that, in trust and good faith, the Sublime Ottoman State has armed him with, and putting it to good use for the betterment of his people.

The British are all Western Christian, which is what the Catholics are usually referred to in this world, yes, so no worries! There was no Reformation so they all stayed with Holy Mother Church. ;)

A friend of mine who is interested in joining the game asked me if there is any deadline for character applications. Do we have a deadline yet? or is it going to remain open until we get a certain number of new characters? or some third option?

Personality: Quick-witted and people-smart, Tad is a natural bureaucrat. He has come to understand that his job is to do as little work as possible himself, delegating pretty much everything he can to a flock of assistants and officials. He inspires loyalty in his retainers by treating them as colleagues, very seldom wielding his authority bluntly with them. In his private life, he is very partial indeed to comfort, and has crafted several schemes to improve on what his official salary can buy in this regard. He has made common cause with his friend and colleague the dockmaster to purchase a very fine villa within the city, and between them, they retain a staff of a few servants under the supervision of a majordomo. (This arrangement also lets both of them launder bribes more readily!) Though he is not above a little corruption and vice, he is strongly loyal to the city, and would not jeopardize its well-being by, for example, accepting a bribe to let a quarantined ship slip in. Tad might've had dealings with the dirigible captain this character works for, since his smuggling route has taken him through Kostantiniyye a handful of times. If you want to talk specifics just shoot me a PM here or over on middlemarching. :)
