Sakura sat in some sort of common room awaiting her room assignment. She shifted nervously,

Shikamaru wandered aimlessly through the corridors of the main building, his hands buried deep in his pockets like usual. If he had a choice, he'd much rather be lounging somewhere on the school grounds or lazing about on the roof of the building, but there was a slight chill in the air that drove the usually unmotivated nin inside.

'... Still can't seem to shake the shivers. Very troublesome," he thought to himself. How was a guys supposed to relax when he was shivering? Setting his ever-active mind to the task of finding a place to nap, Shikamaru peered lazily into the first room he came across, his gaze settling quickly on the small figure inside. A fellow student, or at least that's how it looked.

"Oi," he called out to the figure, hoping they'd know more of the buildings layout than he did. "Know of a decent place for a nap around here?"

Sakura looked up at the voice and stared at the boy who had addressed her so. She paused for a moment,having forgotten that she was no longer Haruno Sakura, a lady in training and coughed before saying in the slightly deeper voice she had practiced.
" I'm new here...I don't know the layout of this ..bloody place yet..." She suppressed a flush at using such a vulgar word but knew boys were prone to them.
why should you care...you're supposed to be a boy...act like one she thought in self reproach.

Shikamaru lifted an eyebrow, curious at the other's blush and hesitation in speaking. With a slight shrug of his shoulders, he slouched into the room, plopping heavily into a chair a few feet away from the newcomer. 'You haven't been here that much longer, genius. A few days at most," he though, correcting himself. Arranging his limbs as comfortably as hecould manage, Shikamaru turned his gaze to look over at the red-head beside him.

"I'm Skikamaru," he said slowly, giving the other boy and obvious once over with his eyes.

Sakura automatically slouched further into her chair nervously imitating her cousin Jiru at his most annoyed. " My friends call me 'kura..." she mumbled,disconcerted by the boys look. " I just came here today...I'm waiting to get my room assigned..."
