The following is a list of characters sorted by the 'Kishimoto Elements.' This will come into play later, peeps, but note that only the fifth years and the staff have had their chakra elements "officially" determined. Most of the bloodline limits are determined by elemental manipulation, except the doujutsu and a few others.

I think if Shikamaru was just a little more motivated, he'd be insulted with the feminine implications that go along with "Yin". It definately makes sense for him and the nature of his jutsus, though.

Gai isn't incapable of ninjutsu in the show, infact he shows he can use chakra to walk on water. Lee is the one who can't manipulate chakra.

he can also mold chakra to do summoning ninjutsu as he showed by summoning the turtle

and the Naruto card game pegs him as a lighting type though earth makes a lot more sense.

he also had a 3/5 in ninjutsu in the naruto stats cards shown vs's Lees 0/5
