Shikamaru lied down in the spot he'd claimed since he was a kid and looked into the sky and watched the clouds. The weather was perfect, it was sunny, but not too sunny. And the white cumulus clouds hung over head to provide shade as they wandered past and there was a wonderful breeze... the perfect day. He sighed in contentment. There was nothing

Shikamaru sighed as Naruto sat down also not leaving Shikamaru to much room for himself.
"I just felt a rain drop Shikamaru."
Shikamaru rolled his eyes, "You're a terrible liar. Dirt shows well on pink." He said with a sly smirk then to Naruto, "So besides training what have you been up to Naruto?" He asked interested only slightly but in need of something to talk about. He was bored again... wanted to sleep but... he was sure if he went home his mother would only scold him.

He glanced over at Sakura, just before Shikamaru picked her up. He would have offered to carry her--he'd gotten better with his perving (and by that, he tried to make it sound like he didnt really mean 'didnt get caught less').
"Oi! Mattettebayo!"

Shikamaru had slowed for a moment taking off his vest and pulling it over the sleeping Kuoichi's head so she wouldn't get wet putting it carefully so it wouldn't slip off as he pulled her on his back again heading torwards his house as the little bits of rain seemed to carefully soak into his pony tail making it sag. "Hurry up Naruto, before the lightening starts and strikes your orange suit." He joked as he ran along.
Upon reaching his house he opened the door again carefully so he wouldn't drop her, but he couldn't. Luckily for him there was a small roof just above the door with enough room to move so he nudged her. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to get inside.
It'd started to thunder loudly as the rain came down harder.
"Oy Sakura, wake up." He hadn't realized his vest was still over her head as he held her.

Shikamaru placed her down as gently as possible so she wouldn't fall on her ass when she asked her question, realizing she probably wanted to get down. Then opening the door to his home without a vest in his black suit he replied to her, "My house. It was the closest and there's a huge storm coming in." There was another thunderclap and he waited for Naruto and Sakura to get inside before the winds picked up wetting them all. Shikamaru's ponytail was to the point where it sagged downward behind him making his hair look unusually long since it was wetand his suit stuck to his slim muscualr figure. "Come on before you get wet..." He hadn't even asked for his vest back.

Naruto grinned at the comment, but didnt say anything more because a sudden rush of wind made him want to speed up moreso than doing anything else. When they got back to his house, though, and he ran into the house, dragging Sakura after him by the wrist.
"We're already plenty wet, huh? Ne, dont mind that Im dripping everywhere; my jackets not as waterproof as it looks." Just the opposite, actually.

Nice and snug, she couldn't believe she thought that! Still Shikamaru had covered her up without being pushed or anything? If she'd paused in the door way naruto solved that problem quick dragging her in after him energetic as ever-THAT snapped her to. "You better get a towel before you catch a cold, both of you..."
She glanced over to Shikamaru and gently pulled the vest off her head handing it over to him.
"...and thanks you probably need this back."
