It had been a long month, and Sai was beginning to show signs of the strain that had only been alleviated recently with the recovery of his peers. The artist nin had shadows under his eyes and he would occasionally have to pause to yawn, but the bag of fresh goods in his hand said he was at least eating well. Or at least, better than some other shinobi could admit to.

Scanning the crowds, Sai was mildly surprised to see Neji, and he wove his way through the mass of people to initiate conversation.

"Neji-san, it is good to see you doing something other than work." The corners of his mouth seemed to lift slightly.

Neji glanced over at the other young man and shifted the bag he held with one arm. "I've got the time, finally," he said. Funny, despite the semi-relaxed schedule Sai was looking more worn than he had during the past month. "What have you been up to?" Outside of ANBU duties, of course.

"Making sure that neither Yamanaka-san or Sakura-san wear themselves out." Technically that was part of his ANBU duties, but he did them outside of his ANBU schedule. In the rare, fleeting hours when he wasn't sleeping. He would be grateful to have an honest sleep schedule again, but it was a ways off until they recruited more members.

"It looks to be working." Neji tilted his head in appreciation. He had his own job of policing Naruto, practically a fulltime job in of itself. Perhaps he should go see the blond at some point as Neji instead of Falcon. Or invite him over for dinner. Neji was no Lee, but sometimes having a friend around made all the difference.
