I'm really enjoying translating these. Yay, answers to the Who's Who guessing game!

I just can't stop giggling at "Great King Baby Sage" for Mama's Boy the demon prince Kougaiji. XD

And Sensei's apology about Dokugakuji... hee hee hee

Great stuff, thank you! :)

I loved this! Very interesting about Kougaiji. Why she made him kind hearted. Also having a mother figure on both teams was interesting. And bit about Dokugakuji having no link to the original made me laugh.

I was wondering why she made Kou like she did. He was such a little brat in all the other versions I've read/seen of the Journey

I agree with you about Kougaiji although I cannot hold that against what he did in the original Journey to the West story as he did repent and Kougaiji in the original Journey to the West himself was a 'fictional version' of Sudhana from the Gandavyuha Sutra, which was the last chapter from the Avatamsaka Sutra, and Sudhana (the one from the sutra) was not said to do the things that his counterpart did in the original Journey to the West. And Kougaiji in the original Journey to the West was a child, and Kougaiji in this manga is an adult so maybe or maybe not he was a little brat at first until he mature. Although there was also this animated movie call Fireball where Kougaiji was a kind-hearted kid.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Everytime I read the original, I can't get over the whole Kou's a kid in the apron thing. It's almost depressing. XD

I haven't gotten to Kou's bit in the original yet, but I was highly amused by his cute bratty self (selves?) in the other versions of the Journey I've read
