hello, flisters, hi! it's been 100 degrees (if not higher) for over a week now and i'm losing my mind. our a/c at work is on its last legs, and my a/c at home is total crap. or maybe my house has poor insulation. likely both. all i know is i get home from work and it's 90 degrees INSIDE and after the a/c has been on for hours and hours it still

I'm sorry you're not getting sleep. Being hot and sweaty at night is the worst. It sounds like your A/C definitely needs a checkup.

I'M OBSESSED WITH SUITS AS WELL. But mostly for Harvey and Donna. Mike annoys me so much, which is sad because he didn't all through season 1 up until like the last 2 or 3 episodes :( I love Louis though, which I did not expect at first.

DONNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA /o/ legit tears streaming down my face when she walked past harvey on her way to the elevator, box of belongings in hand. ;_; ever since i've been waiting patiently for them to FIX IT. FIX IT. FIX IT. fingers crossed this week is the week. :D my harvey/mike feels do stumble a bit in the face of my harvey/donna feels, but ultimately, it's about the boys for me.

and idk, i don't really mind mike. it might partially be the shoes (/o\). but harvey is definitely the main draw. although really, the entire cast is just incredible. gina torres is FUCKING AMAZING at jessica. her little "what?" at louis' line about her fibers last week was my favorite thing in the entire episode. i had to rewatch it like six times. and LOUIS. srsly, when did he get so great?!?! i'm so damn impressed with him. EMMYS ALL AROUND.

Also, the Winter Soldier storyline is my favorite beyond all favorites & if Marvel screws this up in the movie version, the world will not be able to contain my fannish rage. *g* (I am, of course, expecting it to be AWESOME.)

i mean. i know this is southern california and it's august and all, but... fuck, i can't deal with this shit. :|

i have read the equivalent of the first two trades, and am just starting red menace now. i'm prepared for what's ultimately to come (;_;), but i have no idea how we get there, so i'm enjoying the ride thus far. i've definitely missed some background plot points along the way, though, that i gather took place in an avengers run prior to these books. or concurrently. idk. i'll have to figure that out at some point.

so far i've been pretty darn pleased with the marvel movie versions, so i shall remain optimistic! and sebastian gives angst like no other, so. THAT COULD WORK.

their stage clothes weren't costumes, EXCEPT FOR THE FEW TIMES THEY WORE THEIR COSTUMES, i'll give him that, but... GUN HOLSTERS. FOR RAYGUNS, GERARD. but sure, it wasn't as extreme as the black parade. seems we'll be getting something more along those lines again. unless things change. <-- standard mcr disclaimer :p

the first few times i saw captain america i barely paid any attention to bucky. /o\ it wasn't until later when i learned more about the comics and realized how important he is to cap and the marvel universe that i said OH HEY OKAY LET'S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK. and, you know, sebastian stan. he's not so hard to LOOK AT. ;)

Aww I'm sorry to hear that you're getting the awful heat that we had for, oh the entire month of July. :( It's no fun AT ALL, and I can't sleep when it's hot either, so I totally feel your pain. In all likelihood, your A/C and insulation are probably okay, it's just really really hard for A/C's to cool down a house when it's that hot outside, especially when overnight lows are in the 80s which brings no relief at all. Unfortunately, the best thing to do is to actually keep the air on all day and set to 78 or so, so the A/C has less work to do to cool things down once you get home. It might actually work out to less money in the long run, since it would allow for the unit to switch off every now and again. *sweaty hugs* (Also, a trick I learned when I lived with no A/C and it was a hot summer in upstate NY is to take a cold shower right before bed, keep your hair wet, and go to bed with a fan blowing right on you. If you can fall asleep before your hair dries and not wake up until morning, it really helped

unfortunately, i'm pretty certain something isn't functioning properly, bc when i'm home on the weekends and it's 102 outside, it's still gets up to 90 inside - and that's WITH the a/c on allllllll day long. so, yeah. that's crazytown. once it starts to cool down in the evenings, it works semi-okay... but during the day, my house is a furnace no matter what. :\ thankfully, my dad comes back from vacation today, and i'm going to see what he advises before i call in the big guns.

cold showers and fans are definitely helping me not to lose my mind altogether. @_@
