today is mikeyway's birthday. this time last year i was reading the most tragic of all mikeyway fics. i can honestly say i've never cried so much from a fic as i did from that one. even the snarry fic of doom can't compare (which is sayin' something). anyhow, happy 29th, dude

a bigbang from last year, not dead, only sleeping. it's really good! just... oof. (but i kind of like it when stuff kills me. i'm weird like that.)

oh, right. that didn't affect me anywhere near as much as IYAP (if that's the Snarry you're talking about). the parts from alicia's pov were really heartbreaking, but i couldn't connect with mikey, much as i wanted to (and i really wanted to)! but i can still make myself cry just by thinking about IYAP :(

i was basically a WRECK for both of them (yes, that's the snarry - i can never remember its title). rivers and rivers of tears and snot. it's only recently that i can look at a picture of alicia without going completely sadfaced. :(((((((

when people post a fic using an icon that has nothing to do with the pairing in that fic

I HATE THIS! There's a writer who always uses a Travis/William icon and every single time I click thinking that I'm going to get Travis/William and I get every.pairing.but. You'd think I'd learn by now! It's not as if William/Gabe, William/people who are not Travis icons are hard to come by; hell, use an icon of a flower or tree or dog for all I care.

i feel like a douche now, because i only have one icon on my fic journal and it is viggo. viggo for everything. i can understand the confusion.

i know, crazy, right?! iyap was like one big explosion at the end, whereas in this fic, the hits keep on coming throughout. in one chapter i remember thinking holy moly i made it through the whole thing without one tear! but i spoke too soon. two paragraphs later i got completely blindsided, and fell asleep sobbing into my pillow. (more than anything, though, i was really impressed with how blindsided i got - i usually see that shit coming a mile away!)

oh. i didn't think about fic journals with maybe just one icon. well, that is certainly forgivable! ignore me any my silly hang-ups!

YES, THAT. WITH THE ICON NOT MATCHING THE FIC. I don't understand, Krit. It makes me all headscratchy. That's why my fic journal only has the one icon! Stock photo, no muss no fuss, all bases covered no matter what. :D
