I love driving a stick. My VOLVO is a stick-shift. I will be sad when I can no longer get the car I want -- whatever that may be -- with a manual transmission. People seem to be allergic to them in this country, or something.

people always whine and moan about how awful having a manual is while stuck in traffic, but i sat in rush hour for two years going back and forth to work and never minded one bit.

the only downside i could find is not being able to cling to my coffee or other tasty beverage while driving. that one gets tricky. one hand on the wheel, one hand on the stick shift, and one hand on my tumbler. ...oh, wait.
